One retailer tested the “Spend & Get” promotion for one week, in three markets,
with 90,000 certificates. The success of the test led to a full rollout in which
the promotion was extended to two weeks, expanded to more than 1,300 stores with
430,000 certificates offered. Each gift certificate garnered a minimum of $75 in
retail sales — less the certificate cost — generating $30 million in retail sales.
These retailers and many others continue to use Restaurant.com Gift Certificates
to generate incremental revenue.
